big game animal in Newfoundland, and
we have access to some of the best
remote moose hunting locations on the
island
Arrangements can be made to have
moose shipped home.
Moose Hunting facts
Adult male moose may weight as much
as 1200 lbs and as far as hunting
these large animals, we suggest a
minimum .270 calibre rifle with lots of
ammunition. The most common types
of rifles are .270, .308, 30-06, and
7-mm.
Compound bows with high draw
weights are also legal, however, bow
hunting a moose can challenge even
the most skilled hunter.
