Moose Hunt ...
Brophy and
Son Outfitting offers a 6-day hunt which consists of food,
accommodations, and care of meat. Newfoundland Moose can be compared in size to
that of the Alaskan Moose. We have a great
history of providing trophy moose hunts to numerous
people.
There are a limited number of Trophy Moose
Hunts. Moose is the most commonly hunted big game animal in
Newfoundland, and we have access to some of the best
remote moose hunting locations on the island.
Adult male moose may weight as much as 1200 lbs and
as far as hunting these large animals, we suggest a
minimum .270 caliber rifle with lots of ammunition.
The most common types of rifles are .270, .308,
30-06, and 7-mm. Compound bows with high draw
weights are also legal, however, bow hunting a moose
can challenge even the most skilled hunter.
Try our caribou
hunt for a more ideal archery hunt.
You might also consider moose, caribou and black bear
combination hunts. We have a spring black bear
hunt as well. This is also a great time of
year to take part in some of the great trout fishing
we can provide.
If you wish you may arrange to have your moose meat
sent home with you for future meals. Moose
meat is known to taste quite delicious, along with
the advantage of being very nutritious.
